Sarah Ebner is an award-winning journalist who is currently executive editor and head of newsletters at the FT. She is an expert in newsletters and digital journalism and was the first ever head of newsletters at The Telegraph, where subscriptions from newsletters went up from 5,000 in 2018 to over 30,000 in 2020. Sarah is a former deputy editor of the Jewish Chronicle where she had special responsibility for digital and launched a new website in 2016. It garnered record traffic.
Sarah spent eight years at the Times, where she was the sole female editor on the Times digital sports desk and also set up and ran Times Woman, a weekly email bulletin which showcased the best of the female writers at The Times and Sunday Times. Before that she wrote and edited The Times's hugely successful School Gate blog for five years.
In her career, Sarah has been a news reporter, feature writer, sports reporter, television producer and occasional reporter (she worked on Newsnight). She has also written for nearly every British newspaper!
